A semi small list this month, but still some great reccies! Jumping right to it and sharing them all below:

*Where to listen: I use the Libby App all the time which is free to everyone who has a library card. I also pay for Spotify and if you do you get 15 hours of an audiobook per month, so basically two shorter books or a book and a half.
*Where to read: I thrift a lot of my books, use the library a ton, download checked out Libby books to my kindle, and occasionally treat myself to a crisp new book from a book store as well.
*Where to watch: most everything I watch can be found on Disney+, Prime, MAX.
*Side note: I got my kindle second hand from my dad who had an extra (thanks dad!) and have never actually bought a kindle book from Amazon and instead hook up my @libby.app account and only read borrowed books on it. Give it a try if you’re looking to limit or no longer purchase from Amazon. It takes a little finagling, but just give it a quick google/YouTube search and step by step instructions will pop up on how to do this!

Watched:
Freakier Friday: I went with some friends to the theaters to see this release and it was soooo fun! There were a couple fun references and overall the storyline was a good time as well. Go into it with a light mindset, not a critical one.
Flow: This was a really sweet watch. There is no dialogue, so because of this it is not a movie where you can be doing anything else while watching (which I appreciated). It's just really charming and makes you think about the natural world while at the same time totally clearing your head of all background noise/running thoughts. It's a cute one for a cozy night.
The Map That Leads to You: A tiny cheesy, but I loved it. Another great one to put the phone/distractions down and just get consumed by. Its a "live for today" storyline with a heartwarming romance story. I really recommend it to anyone who needs a good cry and reminder to let go of some worries and what we have right now.
Read:
True Colors by Kristin Hannah: Kristin Hannah just never misses! I enjoyed this book of hers a lot for a few reasons. 1) it was set up in a similar way to her other books, intro to the characters/etc for the first 70-100 pages and then you are hooked and 2) while it still covers some intense subject matter, its delivered in a way that wasn't as intense as her other books (for example right now I'm reading Nightingale and I cry every night I read it, that didn't happen with True Colors). It gives you those "come on what are you doing!!" moments along with the heartwarming ones and will, as always, keep you on your toes until the very end.
Spectacular Things by Beck Dorey-Stein: I've never read a novel quite like this one before. It touched on familiar topics (family drama, sisterly relationships, work/life balance, etc) but it was done in a way that felt very new and refreshing. I listened to this one and I enjoyed the narrator as well. This is a great read for after a more intense book when you want something lighter, but still gripping.
Junie by Erin Crosby Eckstine: Speaking of intense.... oof. This was my book club's book of the month and my god. It was gutting. The subject matter is intense, but very important. It's hard to digest some of this book, because it's based on past realities, but I think thats what makes it so important and also a really gripping novel. Read this one when you have a feel good book lined up for after you finish.
That’s it for now. Stay tuned for next months shares and drop me a message/comment if you have any reccies for my TBR!
Until next time xx, Rose
